More than one million people are being evacuated from Florida and South Carolina’s Atlantic Coast as monster storm Hurricane Matthew moves closer.

Early Tuesday, around 7:00 am, Haiti was hit with a category four storm. This is the most destructive and forceful tropical storm from the Atlantic in almost a decade. It’s winds were up to 145 miles per hour.

The aftermath of the storm has left the towns with no electricity. The structures that survived are caving in. The current death toll is at least three. Eastern Cuba and the Bahamas are currently on high alert.

It is predicted that this tropical storm could hit the eastern coast of the U-S later this week. There is a continued trend moving west, but U-S officials say it’s too soon to determine possible impact in our nation.
