Dracula’s Castle in Transylvania is opening its doors for one night only to overnight guests this Halloween. No one has slept in the fortress since 1948.
The actually named “Bran Castle” will host two lucky guests through a promotion by Air-b-n-b, including a complete wine-and-dine experience. After the meal, the guests will be led to red velvet-trimmed coffins to rest for the night just as Dracula did in the horror novel by Bram Stoker that amplified the myth and legend of the vampire.
The contest launched Monday night to find the two lucky victims. They will be flown to Romania and taken to the vampire’s castle in a horse-drawn carriage. The entire night will be modelled off the original novel.
